From a Walker to the Hills of Portugal

"My recovery could not have gone better. I'm ready to pursue everything I enjoy!" Chris

Her surgeon warned her that some activities might never be possible, but Chris was ready to prove them wrong.

Chris arrived at Parkshore after knee replacement surgery feeling defeated. Her surgeon had warned her that many of her favorite activities would still be off-limits, even after recovery.

But Chris had other plans.

With her Consonus therapy team, she built a personalized plan rooted in expertise and determination. Every session was tough, but Chris pushed through, motivated by one goal: regaining full independence.

Her progress was remarkable:

  • Went from relying on a walker to moving independently
  • Navigated different surfaces and environments outside the gym
  • Learned to safely return to the activities she loves

Today, Chris is back on the water, driving her boat, and even tackling hills with ease during her recent trip to Portugal. Her story is proof that with motivation, personalized care, and the right support, what once felt impossible can become reality.
